Positive, inclusive school experiences and academic achievement for multilingual learners

With partners works with leaders and educators, promoting student success.

Why with?

Multilingual learners are the fastest-growing student population in the country, growing 60% in the last decade, as compared with 7% growth of the general student population.* This growth brings rich opportunities for school communities to increase cultural competence while supporting high levels of success for multilingual learners. Oftentimes, districts struggle to meet the needs of multilingual learners due to a deficit orientation or ineffective programs and instruction.

With over 20 years of school and leadership experience in the culture and language space, with partners is uniquely positioned to help districts to reach their goals of providing positive and inclusive experiences and academic achievement for multilingual learners.

Our services

  • "Our district was making shifts in our multilingual department, and we were looking for support to improve our overall system. Danette helped our team create a multi-year plan that focuses on goals for the administration team, EL teachers, and classroom teachers to help our multilingual students achieve high growth linguistically and academically. Danette personalized this plan based on our student population, student data, and our current reality. I am excited to see the impact this has for our teachers and most importantly, our students."

Jackie Griffin, Director of Curriculum and Professional Learning, East Prairie District 73

  • "As a principal, Danette developed one of the first dual language schools in Illinois which was also nominated for a National Blue Ribbon Award. While serving as assistant superintendent, she helped lead Illinois' largest K-8 district to become one of the most successful models for teaching English learners in the state."

Dr. Paul Goldberg, Superintendent, East Prairie District 73

  • "Danette was integral in leading District 54's journey with Positive Psychology. She was the perfect person to spread the Principles of Happiness throughout the District. As teams learned strategies to do great work and feel great about doing the work, I witnessed Danette easing even reluctant adopters to think about their own gratitudes and find ways to increase their optimism. Her own optimistic outlook allows those around her to stretch their own expectations and see as possible what may have seemed impossible to them."

Mary Kay Prusnick, District 54 School Board President
